Seller’s Comments

For sale is a very competitive road racing 1966 Ford Mustang with a tremendous amount of updating in the past 18 months. This is a proven, affordable, front-running vintage group 6 (AS or TA) car that is fully sorted. This is great setup for someone wanting to go fast in vintage racing while keeping a reasonable budget without compromising results. We have worked very hard to make this car competitive and reliable, but we have a new ride for next season so it’s time for someone else to enjoy this one.

This car was purchased out of California where it had been converted to a race car years ago. It had been sitting for two years and needed many updates. The body is 100% rust free and solid (rockers are immaculate). It shows typical racecar usage on some body panels. Work completed since May 2018:

• Engine rebuilt by B&B Racing (2-19). Highlights include a Dart block, World Products Victor Sr. heads, custom grind roller camshaft, new carburetor, much more. 477 hp @ 6900 rpm (upon break in), dyno sheet included.

• Rebuilt Jerico race transmission (7-19). Gear ratios are 1.80/1.50/1.25/1.00.

• Quartermaster bellhousing, reverse mount starter, and triple disc 7.25” hydraulic clutch (5-19).

• Rebuilt rear end (5-18). Decambered housings ¾ degree, Detroit Locker differential and 3.50 gears. Also have 3.89 and 4.11 gears.

• Big brake kit from Street Or Track (7-19). Includes larger front spindles and cooling ducts with Cobra Automotive plates.

• Modified roll cage with NASCAR style driver side bars (4-18).

• Other new items since 2018 include a full halo seat, Accusump oiling system, MSD ignition system, Holley fuel delivery system, driveshaft, radiator, mult-rib accessory belt, spherical lower control arms with camber adjusters, spherical front struts with caster adjusters, dual spherical spring perches, motor mounts, spring bushings, ball joints, master cylinder, wheel cylinders, fuel lines, brake lines, etc.

Additional specifications are shown below. This Mustang is dialed in and has PROVEN results; it is not some paper tiger. It has competed against (and beaten) cars costing 3-5x this price. Notable highlights from the past 14 months:
