All vehicle trades considered, including classics and performance.  I can assist with financing and transport as needed.

Here is one of the most desirable cars from the 60’s.  This documented 1965 GTO is the real deal and has a lot going for it.  To begin, this is a rare “post” GTO which represents just 11% of production that year.  It has new paint on an original body.  There is a performance 455ci engine (original 389ci included), 4-speed transmission, and Vintage Air a/c setup.  Lots to like.

This GTO is an original Burgundy car and was completely repainted in 2018.  All weatherstripping was replaced as well.  The frame, rockers, and floor pans are all solid and free of rust issues.  The chrome and moldings are in nice condition, while the stacked headlights and sleek rear panel add to the car’s attractive appearance.  There are also Rally II wheels with Goodyear Eagle tires.

This GTO was equipped with a 389ci 4v engine rated at 335hp from the factory.  This original engine is included on a cradle; the car is now powered by a performance 455ci setup.  Highlights include a 1971 YG-code block along with Edelbrock aluminum heads.  There is also a Performer aluminum intake, Holley 4-barrel carburetor, and MSD ignition.  The transmission is a Muncie 4-speed with Hurst shifter.  Additional features include a large aluminum radiator to keep things cool and a dual exhaust with headers.

The black interior is a great complement to the exterior.  The seats, carpet, door panels, and headliner all look fantastic.  The dash is classic GTO along with the passenger grab handle, and the factory console is a must-have with the bucket seats.  The factory AM radio is also present and functional, complete with reverb and trunk-mounted amplifier.  The horn, wipers, parking brake, and backup lights all work as well.  And finally there is a new Vintage Air system that provides heat, air conditioning, and defrost through a set of original looking controls.

This is indeed a real GTO from Pontiac, MI.  It includes all the proper PHS documents along with the Group 5 “N” code on the cowl tag.  And as a rare “post” body style it is stronger than a hardtop with better window seals (good things to have over the course of 50+ years).  Throw in all the other goodies on this car and you’ve got a collectible muscle car indeed.
