Seller’s Comments

This attractive 1968 Mustang combines sharp looks and reliable mechanicals into a very affordable package.  It has seen a lot of restoration work from 2009-2014 and includes some great original documentation.  I think it’s a great way to get into a classic car without having to take out a second mortgage.

This example was originally sold by Crown Ford in Nashville, TN on March 13, 1968.  It remained in Tennessee for almost 40 years, coming to Wisconsin in 2007.  It has never been driven in snow or salt, thus the original floor pans, torque boxes, and rocker panels are all in great shape.  In 2009 the car was repainted metallic blue and received a new vinyl top, giving it a very classy look.  It also received new bumpers, moldings, bezels, lenses, and wheel covers.

The drivetrain consists of a 200 cubic inch inline-6 engine with a C4 automatic transmission with floor shifter.  This is a great setup for easy and reliable cruising.  It is also lighter than its V8 siblings, making the manual steering and brakes easier to operate.  New parts abound; ball joints, springs, tie rods, service brakes, parking brake, bushings, exhaust, lines, hoses, wire harness, and more!  Again receipts are included.

The black interior also received a lot of work with new seat foam, seat covers, carpeting, door panels, arm rests, handles, knobs, and dash pieces.  A modern digital stereo with aux cable was also installed.  Everything works properly; speedometer, gauges, lights, horn, heater, defroster, backup lights, turn signals, and more.  This Mustang also includes the original sales receipt, owners manual, ownership card and more.  There is other neat stuff like the Society Of Mustangers membership information and a partial build sheet.

This Mustang presents a very appealing package.  It looks fantastic, has loads of updates, and includes a folder full of documentation.  It is an affordable way to get into one of the favorite cars of the 1960’s without inheriting somebody’s unfinished project.  Take a look around this price range and I think you’ll agree.
